  • We discover that our bodies and nervous systems are doorways... openings...portals for stories...

  • We honor how Rot- Compost- is the womb of life. We find how we can generate life from a mess

  • We look through kaleidoscopes to see something differently and strengthen our empathy muscle

  • We are challenged to become the vehicle, to don the costumes of other stories

  • We get over ourselves, find out it's not all about humans, and get inside the myriad of worlds spinning around us

  • We agree that nothing can exist in a vacuum…we are all symbiotically connected, and mushrooms are masters of this

  • We are assured that ecological awareness is deeply tied to our ability to adapt and survive

  • Today is sponsored by radical cahooting!!!

Sophie Strand is a writer based in the Hudson Valley who focuses on the intersection of spirituality, storytelling, and ecology. But it would probably be more authentic to call her a neo-troubadour animist with a propensity to spin yarns that inevitably turn into love stories. Give her a salamander and a stone and she’ll write you a love story. Sophie was raised by house cats, puffballs, possums, raccoons, and an opinionated, crippled goose. In every neighborhood she’s ever lived in she has been known as “the walker”. She believes strongly that all thinking happens interstitially – between beings, ideas, differences, mythical gradients.
